Death of a Salesman

Feb 17-19, 2005
written by Arthur Miller, directed by Terry Schoonover

Perhaps America's greatest play, this Arthur Miller classic was last staged by TLT in our 1972-73 season and is as relevant today as when it originally premiered over 50 years ago. Death of a Salesman tells the melancholy story of America's everyman, salesman Willy Loman, who is in deep financial trouble. While giving us a hard look at the American Dream failing miserably, the play focuses on Willy, his wife Linda, and their two sons, Biff and Happy. A work of tremendous emotional impact, this production explores the frivolity of agonizing to achieve wealth and power while questioning the social values of the American capitalist system.
